Burglary - Crime prevention message.

Having your home broken into and property being stolen is extremely upsetting.

Please be vigilant.

Please ensure security lighting is effectively positioned and working and any CCTV you may have installed covers access points to your properties/vehicles in particular. Anti-lock snaps are effective in preventing and stalling offenders also.

Use timer switches on lamps to give the impression somebody is at home or keep a light on in the evening if you go out.

Check all doors and all windows are locked and secure, including those upstairs, before you go out or go to bed.

Please get in touch with police by calling 101 or the GMP website using the report it tab should you have any CCTV relating to burglaries, vehicle crime and suspicious circumstances.
